ricetheme publishes partner articles and product reviews in its sections: Desktops, Terminal, Editors, Color & Type, Dotfiles, Linux and Setups. They suit the things a ricer installs, configures and keeps: terminal emulators and developer tools, editors and their plugins, programming fonts, VPS and cloud hosts, Linux laptops, keyboards and monitors.
The guides themselves are written by our own authors, so we don’t take contributed articles for now.
How it works
- We set it up the way a reader would, on a desktop we use every day, and the piece shows the config we ended up with.
- We say exactly what it is. The version we wrote against, the license or the price, what it needs and anything we found that breaks it.
- You see it before readers do. Read the piece before it goes live and correct any version, price or feature we got wrong. The verdict stays ours.

- Product review
- We test the product and publish an honest review: what it is for, what it does well, what it does not. The verdict is ours.
